My crochet story began when my mother burst into my house one day with a crochet book for beginners, a few hooks, and some yarn. She had committed to crocheting flowers for the local woman's association, but simply could not find the time. She told me it would be wonderful if I could help her out and make ten crocheted flowers in only a few days. I thought she was crazy! How would I ever be able to do that?
With sheer determination and stubbornness, I picked up that book and started crocheting those flowers — and what a blessing that day has proved to be in my life! Crochet is now my happy place and one of the things I enjoy most in life.
